Bandhan-Konnagar’s Targeting the Hardcore Poor (THP) Programme

Bandhan Health Programme (BHP)

• Dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of underprivileged families by promoting awareness on safe motherhood, child nutrition, personal hygiene, sanitation, menstrual hygiene, clean drinking water, and preventive healthcare, with special focus on under-5 children, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and adolescent girls.

Bandhan Education Programme empowers underprivileged rural children through free non-formal primary schools known as Bandhan Education Centres.

Bandhan Skill Development Centre (BSDC), under the Employing the Unemployed Programme (EUP),

Bandhan Financial Literacy Programme (BFLP)

• Promotes financial awareness and inclusion among rural and disadvantaged women by equipping them with essential knowledge on money management, savings, debt control, banking services, insurance, and pension schemes.
• Guided by financial literacy frameworks aligned with the Reserve Bank of India, the programme empowers participants to make informed financial decisions, avoid over-indebtedness, strengthen negotiation skills, and confidently access formal financial services

Bandhan Climate Action Program (BCAP) is a transformative initiative by Bandhan-Konnagar that champions

• Climate resilience and sustainable development across the drylands of Purulia and the fragile coastal ecosystems of the Sundarbans.
• Through climate-smart agriculture, rainwater harvesting, solar lift irrigation, vermicomposting, green manure promotion, crop diversification, social forestry, and large-scale mangrove restoration
• Integrates scientific innovation with grassroots participation to combat climate change.
