Pro Poor Innovation Challenge (PPIC) Award was conferred by The Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), an affiliate of the World Bank in March 2006.
The award was presented by Frank F DeGiovanni, Chairman, Executive Committee, CGAP and Director, Economic Development, Ford Foundation.
Bandhan-Konnagar Founder Mr. Chandra Shekhar Ghosh was elected as Senior Ashoka Fellow by Ashoka Foundation in September 2007.
This is a Social entrepreneurship award given in recognition of his vision, commitment and innovative solutions to some of society’s most pressing challenges.
Received the SKOCH Financial Inclusion Award from the SKOCH Group for the Targeting the Hardcore Poor (THP) Programme in January, 2011.
Received the SKOCH Financial Inclusion Award for Bandhan Education Programme in January, 2012.

Presented with the Economic Times Bengal Corporate (ETBC) Award in the category of ‘Best CSR Idea’ by Association of Corporate Advisers & Executives (ACAE) in February 2014.
The award was handed over by Dr. Amit Mitra, Finance, Commerce & Industries Minister, Government of West Bengal.
Bandhan-Konnagar has been awarded the India CSR Award 2025 (Livelihoods – Large Category) for its Targeting the Hard Core Poor (THP) Programme, which has empowered nearly 4 lakh women-led households across 18 states.
Through structured training, enterprise support, and sustained handholding, the programme has enabled women to build resilient livelihoods, with households gaining access to education, healthcare, savings, and insurance.
The award recognises the commitment of Bandhan-Konnagar’s teams, the courage of women entrepreneurs, and the strong partnerships that continue to drive lasting social transformation in underserved communities.
